The Hampta Pass Trek is an exhilarating adventure nestled in the beautiful mountains of Himachal Pradesh. It spans across 4 nights and 5 days, taking trekkers through the stunning landscapes of Manali, Jobra, Cheeka Camp, Balu ka Gera, Shea Gour Camp, and Chandratal, before finishing at Chatru Camp. This trek offers incredible panoramic views of lush meadows, alpine forests, and the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. One of the highlights of the trek is crossing the Hampta Pass, which provides magnificent views of the Chandra Valley and the Lahaul Valley.
Upon arrival in Manali, you will be transferred to Jobra by car. After a brief orientation, start the trek towards Cheeka Camp. The trek will take approximately 4-5 hours, passing through dense forests and scenic meadows. Upon arrival, you will set up camp and enjoy an evening of relaxation under the stars.
On the second day, the trek will take you to Balu ka Gera, which is a famous camping site. The trek will take around 4-5 hours, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After arriving at Balu ka Gera, enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by towering peaks and beautiful landscapes.
Today is the most challenging part of the trek, as you will be crossing the Hampta Pass at an altitude of 4,270 meters. The trek offers some of the best views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks and valleys. After crossing the pass, you will descend towards Shea Gour Camp for an overnight stay.
On day four, you will trek towards Chandratal Lake, one of the most stunning high-altitude lakes in the region. After spending some time at the lake, you will continue towards Chatru, where you will set up camp for the night. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes around you before resting for the night.
On the final day, you will pack up and trek back towards Manali. The return journey will be by vehicle from Chatru to Manali, concluding your adventure through the stunning landscapes of Hampta Pass.
